moving from ri to az

hi i am seriously thinking of moving to az in july of 2009. but i really want to find out more about the state. i have family there but they just give you the good side of things cause they love it.
i want to know everything. i'd be moving to the gilbert area.
any info would be great. thanks.

I love it to, so I don't know how much I'll be able to help either :-).

The down side of things? Well, real-estate is more expensive here than in most places. The city is built in a spread-out way, so public transportation (while it exists) isn't really feasible in most cases, because it takes so long to get everywhere by bus. It's not uncommon to commute 45 minutes to work, then 45 minutes back because of the distances that must be traveled.

But this is a trade off.. we're also not stacked on top of each other. And there's usually no reason that you can't work near where you live.
