We were here about a month and a half ago while visiting one of our well-known
favorite places up north and were lucky enough to have dinner with a few
friends during the visit. This restaurant is like most other popular dining
areas on a Saturday night -- packed. Luckily, we had reservations, which
I'd recommend during peak times.
We were shown through the colorful
decor to a large booth able to seat the five of us comfortably. At first
glance of the menu, there was a massive amount of choices presented. On
the backside was a rather thorough glossary that helped define various
things for those not well-versed in Mexican cuisine.
The prices
seemed a bit a higher than usual, but that was countered by the slightly
larger-than-normal portions. And while our server was very friendly, she
was also very forgetful, shorting me on my order by one taco, and forgetting
a few other minor things. Overall, this seems like the place to be; at
least, that's how it seemed with the large number of people gathering.
Javelina
Cantina is located at 671 Highway 179 in Sedona.
