At first glance, with it's huge booths and wood-like interior, the misleading
impression is that this is a steakhouse. I think they have one or two
types of steak on the menu from which to choose. In fact, they've got
little bits of everything it would seem, but just one or two of each type.
For
instance, there's a heading labeled "Pasta." When you first see that,
your eyes may light up in anticipation of your favorite pasta dish, only
to find out that it's probably not one of the very few listed. The same
happens with burgers and steaks. It seems most of the meals are very specialized,
so picking one in a category that you like could be difficult.
We
did have one issue with one of the dishes and the method used to prepare
it. After it was delivered, we declined it and our server politely removed
it from our bill without any issues.
I did find what I like,
and the booths are huge enough to take a nap in afterwards; though I don't
claim that they would actually allow that. I will likely head back when
I'm in the area.
Murphy's Grill is located at 747 Main St. in
Cottonwood.
