You know that when you walk into a restaurant that has four types of linoleum
patchwork on the floor covered by peanut shells, a bucket used as a weight
in lieu of a spring to close the door, and restrooms labeled "pistons"
and "cylinders", it must be authentic hick. Either in spite of that, or
because of that, the pizza was excellent.
It's half self-serve,
half full-serve. Upon entering, we walked up to the bar to place our food
order, had it delivered to our table within about 15 minutes, and paid
on our way out. It was your classic "on the side of the highway" pit stop,
but made a nice lunch with results better than I had expected.
The
Garage Pub and Pizza is located at 6825 E. Highway 60 in Gold Canyon.
