I've been to but a few coffee houses since the trend began, and it's usually
because such a visit requires taking out a second mortgage. So I was intrigued
when I walked into the beautifully decorated, brand new Coffee Works.
The atmosphere is clean and comfortable, and the price is just right.
I
started off with a piece of cheesecake, which I was assured was not light
and fluffy. Great -- The denser, the better. And to my delight, pressing
my spoon through for the first time was like cutting a slightly chilled
stick of butter. For you cheesecake lovers, you know this is a good thing.
Coffee
doesn't seem to me much of a summer drink (I'm more of a tea-person anyways).
So the nice tall frozen mocha jumped at me from right off the menu, which
turned out to be yet another winner.
Now if only someone could
convince them to install wireless internet access, we'd be set!
Note:
Added Jun 10, 2003: An email from Coffee Works confirms the
installation of wireless internet service later this week.
Coffee
Works is located at 4910 W. Ray Rd. in Chandler.
