La Famiglia won a "Best of 2002" award from the Phoenix New Times. I can agree with the wonderful virtues of this small, family-owned restaurant's service and atmosphere, but not with it's Chef Boyardee-ish marinara sauce. It's the marinara sauce that makes or breaks a pasta dish, and I'd have to say that this one was broken.

On the other hand, I will say that the atmosphere was clean, and the service was fast and friendly. Pricing was a little higher than what I thought it should have been, but that goes hand-in-hand with my expectations of the food.
