The question: What happened to Olive's Big City Italian? The answer: I don't know. But it was initially a disappointing discovery to find out that one of my favorite Italian restaurants no longer exists, but what I found in its place was not a disappointment.

Misto Grill is owned by the former owner that was at that location prior to Olive's. My impression was that they carried a wide variety of foods and added an Italian touch to them. For instance, a large 10oz juicy burger with marinara sauce. In addition, breads and salads, with an Italian accent, are served with meals.

With its many Italian-influenced dishes, and probably some that aren't, Misto Grill makes a more than satisfactory ending to the restaurant previously at that location that unfortunately had to leave. This new addition to the Ariona family of cuisine is a welcome one.

Misto Grill is located at 11056 N. Saguaro
