It's amazing what those little money mailers will do. If you're a car
dealership trying to sell cars, or a computer repair shop advertising your
services, they are difficult to optimize. But for restaurants, they're
golden. For only a few bucks, who wouldn't try something in their area,
especially if the ad in the mail provides some sort of incentive, like
a coupon!
This is how I heard of King Buffet. Tucked away in
the back of the southwest corner of Alma School and Elliot, King Buffet
is a Chinese food buffet with extras. For very reasonable lunch rates,
which includes a drink, you can choose from a wide variety of your favorites
in addition to some unexpected foods including pizza, baked ham, and tacos
just to name a few.
The atmosphere can be a little crazy when
only a few children are present, as I noticed, but overall it has a dimly
lit and comfortable feel. Unlike most buffets, drinks were refilled almost
continuously by our very friendly server. We stayed for nearly two hours
engaged in conversation and didn't feel at all pressured to leave.
King
Buffet is located at 2984 N. Alma School Rd. in Chandler.
