It was a mini-adventure just to find this restaurant. And not because
it's difficult to find, because it's not. The windows are very loudly
bordered with purple neon that directly faces the street. The problem
was with the directions we were given from an advertisement. The sheet
stated that the restaurant was on the northwest corner of a particular
intersection, and it was slightly north in an entirely different plaza.
To make matters worse, there actually is a Chinese restaurant on
the corner of that intersection, so I can only imagine how much business
they were giving to their competition. It took a phone call to find the
actual location.
Seating inside is only for about eight people,
as the primary intention seems to be carry-out and delivery. And even
though dine-in is not their specialy, the service from everyone was fantastic,
including the person who spoke with me on the phone and waiting in the
parking lot and flagged us down to make sure we arrived at the right place.
They were so apologetic about the "misprint", they gave us several free
eggrolls. We were even invited to sit and watch television and munch on
some free chips and sweet-n-sour sauce while we looked over the menu.
The entire meal, with food left over for the next day, cost far less than
what we had expected.
And in spite of the extremely fair prices,
it was some of the best Chinese food I had eaten. Contrary to many others
that would be considered in the same class, the meat is real meat, not
rubbery, and not full of fillers. We've definately found our new take-out
and delivery Chinese restaurant!
