Do you ever trip and fall, land on a pizza restaurant, and leave saying,
"Hey, that's some of the best pizza I've ever had!" That's what happened
to me this weekend as I stumbled across an establishment that I wasn't
even looking for.
We were driving in the area of McQueen and
Ray looking at various houses, and while using a parking lot to make a
U-turn, found Rosati's Authentic Chicago Pizza.
The instant
we opened the door, the aroma flooded out. There was no turning back;
the pizza was calling our names. Okay, so it wasn't quite that dramatic,
but it was some good stuff.
The menu included lots of toppings
as well as various Italian dishes. The atmosphere was great with red bricks
on the interior and old photos of Chicago. The only thing lacking was
in the service. Not in the friendliness, but more in the awareness. Our
server kept trying to clear items from our table clearly before we were
finished with them. And just to be fair, I noticed some harsh behavior
in some of the other servers. However, this will not stop me from going
back.
Rosati's is located at 1050 E. Ray Rd. in Chandler.
