This was a nice way to enhance an afternoon that wasn't going as planned.
On our way to Prescott, my car began to run a bit warm climbing Mingus
Mountain, and we had to pull out to let some time pass and the cool air
bring the temperature down. This made us late for lunch, which apparently
ended up being worth the wait.
Upon entering the Prescott Brewing
Company, it was immediately apparent that this place was a popular hang-out.
Of course, being right on Gurley St. across from the courthouse does a
lot for exposure. In spite of the crowd, we were seated immediately, and
our server attended to us very quickly.
I had a chance to try
their home-brewed cream soda, and I was impressed. The food was excellent.
They have various signs hanging around with quirky and entertaining sayings.
At the end of the meal, the four of us split a piece of cheesecake. And
while we knew we were full and eating more wasn't really a good idea, that
didn't really stop us.
The Prescott Brewing Company is located
at 130 W. Gurley St. in Prescott.
