Rigatony's in Chandler is within walking distance of my house, so I was
hoping for the best in anticipation of returning often and then waddling
home after a good meal. And this has nothing to do with the "shots" of
wine they bring to your table, complimentary of course. However, they
like to call them "samples."
They start off with salad and bread.
The salad is covered in a somewhat heavy though flavorful Italian dressing
with a variety of leafy greens, and the parmesan-topped bread is served
with olive oil, or "Italian butter" as it is sometimes called.
Then
our meals arrived, some very large portions I might add. The first thing
I noticed was the very sweet taste of the marinara sauce. Not too sweet,
and it did not have any unpleasant bitter kick to it. Our server was very
attentive, friendly, and professional the entire time.
I'll
definitely be jogging there and crawling back more often.
