We entered the George and Dragon looking for some good food and a good
game of pool. The evening started out great with the authentic British
cuisine and good service. At this point you may think, "How could it get
any better?" And you'd be justified in that thought, as it was all downhill
from there.
I personally have never been to a pub in England,
so I can't vouch for its true authenticity. But I would hope for the sake
of our neighbors across the pond that this is not an accurate portrayal.
Outside of the restaurant section, which was very nice, it seemed that
you were in a place that had banned all cleaning supplies known to man.
The
floors were very dirty and the dart boards and their accessories were falling
apart. I may visit again, but only the restaurant experience. Outside
of that, I don't see how anyone can enjoy themselves while they're conscious.
I
just have one question for this pub -- Have you ever heard of a mop?
George
and Dragon is located at 4240 N. Central Ave. in Phoenix.
