I used to go to Damon's when they had a location off of Chandler Blvd. and I-10 a couple of years back. That location has since been closed down and I was lucky enough to accidentally find out that there is another location that just opened recently.

First off, the interior of this place is pretty cool. The back wall is lined with four big screen TVs, and the Diamondbacks are often playing on one of them.

Damon's is known for its BBQ. The old location used to have a display underneath the title that read "The Place For Ribs." And it was. They were fall-off-the-bone delicious. Unfortunately, something has changed. The ribs started out okay, and got progressively worse as I moved along the rack. Not bad, just not that great. And the BBQ sauce was only mediocre. It was a little bit too something; I just couldn't put my finger on it.

However, the atmosphere was extremely clean and friendly, and each of the servers was very socialable. I'll definitely be heading back in the near future.

Damon's is located at 940 S. Gilbert Rd in Gilbert.
