Just got back from a trip and took the AZ-179 route from Sedona to GC. Beautiful drive but wish I had known about the alternate route that takes you through the Montezuma Castle National Monument - it adds some amazing history to your trip, not to mention some great views of the canyon below. Has anyone else done this route?
