Hi there,
I was a teacher for five years and last year taught
high school. There are areas where there are gangs. But.... if you live
in a suburb, it's really not a problem.
I was at a high school in
the Peoria school district and gangs were not a problem. Although Peoria
High school, which is in the Peoria school district, might have a few gang
members. It's all in the area of town you live in.
Arizona
doesn't have the best school system but it is imiproving. To tell you
the negative, it is in the bottom for student spending and because of the
transient population, drop out rates are higher. If a college prep is
more your style, check out Brophy High School. In my opinion, Kyrene,
Peoria, Gilbert and Chandler all have good schools.
Check out the
ArizonaArizona | (air-i'-ZON-u') | The State of Arizona comprises the extreme south-western portion of the United States. It is bounded on the north by Utah, on the east by New Mexico, on the south by Mexico, and on the west by California and Nevada. | Department of Ed website as well.
The east valley, Gilbert, Awhatukee
and Chandler, tends to have more IT jobs.
Hope that helps.
