<What neighborhoods are ok? I keep looking at the homes for sale
online, and sometimes it is a little discouraging. As a single income person,
I just want to be able to find a modest home in a nice neighborhood for
myself and my dog.>
I'm not really aware of any bad neighborhoods
in Flagstaff.. they should all be okay. Some of the houses are older.
I actually like the area just north of Flagstaff that's off the highway
on the way up to Snowbowl.. but I'm sure it's a bit pricey.
<How
is Prescott?>
Wonderful! It's one place I'd like to have
another home in the not-too-distant future.
<Are homes cheaper
there?>
From what I can tell, they are much less expensive.
<I
will try to visit there as well.>
I would highly recommend
that :-). It's not far, and it will quickly give you an idea of the differences
and similarities.
<Does Prescott have the same feel as Flag?>
For
the most part, yes. Flagstaff is about 2,000 feet higher in elevation,
so the weather is slightly cooler and the area tends to receive more snow
in the winter. Flagstaff has more of a city-feel to it than Prescott does.
