moving to flagstaff area

I we are thinking about moving to the flagstaff area, would like info on some smaller towns just outside of flag staff. would also like to know about jobs and areas not to live. We have kids so looking for afordable but safe.

You probably want to line up a job before moving I would think....Flagstaff has a higher cost of living than most any other place in Arizona.
