scorpions in February??!!

I killed a small bark scorpion this morning at work. I thought that scorpions were mostly dormant this time of year. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

I uncovered a striper 'couple days ago... It scurried under a century plant. 'Least I know where it lives now.
