The Hike to Tonto Natural Bridge

To reach this natural wonder, hikers must embark on a moderately challenging 3-mile (4.8-kilometer) round-trip hike through Papago Park. The trail begins at the Papago Park Visitor Center and follows the stream bed, passing by lush vegetation and scenic vistas.

  • Terrain: The trail involves some steep inclines and declines, as well as rocky terrain.
  • Elevation Gain: Approximately 300 feet (91 meters) over the course of the hike.
  • Duration: Allow at least 2-3 hours to complete the hike.
