(Note: Olives Big City Italian is no longer in business).
We
found this place accidentally while searching for another restaurant.
In fact, we even thought we were going to the other restaurant until we
got there. But I figured, since we're there, we might as well try it out
and see what we think. This turned out to be a very good decision, as
it's some of the best Italian I've ever had.
The wonderful aroma
almost knocked us out when entering the restaurant. We were greeted by
a friendly host who seated us instantly. Olives was quite busy, though
the service was speedy. They have an awesome olive bread with a specialty
olive spread that they serve complimentary (we did get some of this to
take home, by the way).
The grilled chicken in my spaghetti was
grilled to perfection. Of course, I had to eat enough olive bread to fill
me up the rest of the way, as it would be a crime to leave this place hungry.
The
atmosphere is perfectly lit and the outdoor scenery is beautiful Fountain
Hills. Pricing is reasonable, approximately $15-$30 per person. I will
definately be going back many times in the future.
