Last week on our journey through the White Mountains (which are starting
to get cold, I might add), my mouth was watering for some steak. Heading
into Show Low in the evening with almost no traffic on the road, we pulled
into the Branding Iron Steakhouse.
I could tell from the hostess
that the service at the restaurant was going to be refreshingly quick.
We ordered our drinks and dinners, and it's always the icing on the cake
when I learn that they serve Pepsi products instead of Coke products.
And the dinner salad that normally comes with your meal at a steak house?
Try a salad bar! Maybe for you non-salad freaks this isn't important,
but I like being able to customize my own salad, adding less of that and
more of this. A loaf of fresh-baked bread was also served.
Just
as we were finishing our appetizers, our entrees were delivered. The steak
was about average in taste and texture, nothing too extraordinary, though
the rest of the meal was very good. The best part of the experience was
the service; our server checked in on us regularly and made sure we were
never without drinks.
Branding Iron Steakhouse is located at 1261
E. Deuce Of Clubs in Show Low.
