The secret gardens of Casa Grande are a series of lush oases, tucked away within the city's urban landscape. These gardens offer a serene escape from the desert heat, providing a haven for nature lovers and photographers alike. You'll find an array of cacti, succulents, and wildflowers, as well as vibrant birdlife and perhaps even a glimpse of a coyote or two.

Exploring the Gardens

As you wander through the gardens, take note of the diverse plant species on display. The area is home to numerous varieties of cacti, including towering saguaro and majestic ocotillo. Keep your eyes peeled for vibrant wildflowers, which bloom in a kaleidoscope of colors during the spring months.

  • Best Time to Visit: Spring (March to May) and fall (September to November) are ideal times to visit the secret gardens, as temperatures are mild and wildflowers are in full bloom.

Getting There

The secret gardens are located just a short drive from downtown Casa Grande. To find them, follow these simple directions:

1. From Highway 87, take exit 215 for AZ-387 South. 2. Continue on AZ-387 for approximately 5 miles until you reach the intersection with Pinal Avenue. 3. Turn left onto Pinal Avenue and continue for another mile until you reach the entrance to the gardens.

Additional Information

While there is no specific parking fee or admission charge, donations are appreciated to support the maintenance of these beautiful oases. Please note that guided tours may be available upon request; however, reservations are not required.
