Happy New Year 2005!

by Nick Coons
Dec 29, 2004

Tempe is becoming more and more popular with it's New Year's Eve block party. I've only been once, which was a couple of years ago, but it seems that every year it's become twice as well known as the previous. I wouldn't be surprised if one day soon it rivals Times Square in New York City.

The tickets to get in aren't too bad, about 20 bucks. The party consists of multiple simultaneous concerts being performed by local bands and large well-known ones alike. It's definitely in the top-10 of all places to be on New Year's Eve, maybe even in the Top-5.

I'm not sure yet what I'll be doing on New Year's Eve. Maybe dinner, maybe bowling, or maybe heading over to the block party. In any case, it will be nice to ring in the new year and watch 2005 fall into place. It will be a new start for all of us again, and I have a feeling that it'll be a good year.
