I'm writing you this letter because I can no longer
deal with what I feel inside. I thought maybe you could help. It's not
about my wife, no I love her dearly. My children are wonderful, heck, for
once; even the office isn't too bad. No, Mrs. Paths, my anxieties lie deeper
than that. It's the gas; I just can't take it anymore. The lines, the rising
prices, the yelling, stations dropping like flies... the yellow tape at
the station across the street from my house… I just don't know what to
do.
Please help!
Gasless in Phoenix, Arizona
Dear
Gasless,
Thank you for writing to me... and I feel your pain. The
cars line up for miles coincidentally in the right lane you need to make
a turn into. You get comfy, because you know… it's going to be a long
one. Healing the problem is understanding it. Let's start with the source
of the problem. The pipeline broke sometime last weekend, and suddenly
the supply dropped. The demand didn't however, and people were forced to
line up and wait for hours to get the gas they needed for work for the
coming week. Some stations ran out, and had to close their doors until
their supply was replenished. Others increased cost 100% and this infuriated
people more. They did the best they could, Gasless, doing tests and trying
to find a quick solution. And they're still working very hard to help you,
so until then, sit tight. I know it's hard to deal with, but be patient
and keep your eye out for lower prices and short lines; they are hiding
out there in the Valley! Governor Janet says there will be enough for Sunday's
"before work" rush. Good Luck!
