Waiting To Hike

by Nick Coons
Mar 3, 2004

This Saturday promises to be fun! I'll finally be taking the long-anticipated hike up Four Peaks. We'd like to make it all the way to the top, and to take a look at the Amethyst mines on the east side, but that's going to depend on the weather and road conditions.

From what I hear, they'll likely be snow in the area, which is not the easiest stuff to walk on when you're walking up a relatively steep mountain. The plan is to drive up as far as we can, then hike to the top from there. We'll stop and have lunch, then make out way down. And, of course, I'll be bringing multiple cameras with me, so expect to see the results in the Photo Gallery.

Sunday will be the day of relaxation, as it was intended I suppose. Actually, I'll probably be spending most of the time downloading new images and trying to find which ones I want to appear on the site.

Anticipation is great, and I'm looking forward to the new hikes of 2004.
